Who we are
Mind Innovation and Health Reform Africa (MIHRA)
At MIHRA (Mind Innovation and Health Reform Africa), we are committed to transforming mental health in Africa through research, advocacy, digital innovation, and community-driven initiatives. Our objectives reflect a world-class approach to creating sustainable, scalable, and impactful digital mental health solutions for African youth.
Problem History
Mental health is an under-prioritised topic in many parts of Africa, with the young people having the most impact. With the limited access to quality healthcare and harmful policies like the criminalisation of attempted suicide, mental health prevalence is still on the rise in many parts of Africa. MIHRA was founded in 2024 and registered under the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria in 2025 to close the gap in accessing digital mental healthcare among youths in Africa and providing safe spaces and support groups for youths in universities.
Our Vision
To revolutionise mental health in Africa by creating a future where every young person thrives and contributes meaningfully to society.
Our Mission
We revolutionise mental health in Africa through research, advocacy, and digital innovation. By breaking barriers and creating accessible solutions, we empower young minds to thrive.
